Chipolopolo Boys coach Wedson Nyirenda has kept faith in the bulk of the squad which did a double over Algeria.
Nyirenda has recalled Russian based winger Fashion Sakala after he served his one match suspension.
There’s also a place for Sweden based youngster Edward Chilufya in the squad.
Zambia plays Nigeria on October 7 in Uyo with the team leaving for Ghana on Sunday where they will set up base.
Nigeria leads Group B on 10 points while Zambia is second on seven points with Cameroun in a distant third on three points while Algeria lies rock bottom on a point.

But i am not comfortable with Mtonga. He is a liability to the time,he is not mobile in the field of play and so docile for the anchorman man to the team like Nigeria. He costed ZESCO against super sport.
Go Chipolopolo,go!
Am also not comfortable with mtonga, his not all that swinging in the midfield. PREDICT THE STARTING LINE GUYS. Bullets all the way!!!!!
Predict the staring line up pipo
A wake up call to the so called experienced players. This team will perform very well, the heavy Nigerian players will be chasing shadows in the field of play as i predict an all attacking football by young Zambians. Go Zambia Go Zambia !!
Am surprised they didnt include Rainford Kalaba. What happened? We Nigerians see him as a very good and highly feared playmaker. I hope that singular decision will not come back to hunt this coach.
@paschal, you are right. The decision won’t hunt the couch. This shows you that what you are expecting is not the couch’s plans. So, expect more on 7th in uyo. Just put on your dancing shoes, coz you gonna dance to our tune!
Chipolopolo all the way!!!!!!
Hahahahahaha well spoken, my brother Phonex. I will sure put on my dancing shoes. I dont boast. I hope you will still remain in this forum after 7th Oct. May the better team win. Bravo ZambiaNaija !!!!
I don’t know why kalaba was left out of the team. Fashion on one wing kalaba on the other could have been lethal.
New faces new tactics new look but its one Zambia one Chipolopolo I really wanted to see kalaba in the squad he played very well against Cameroon, go Zambia go.
He is my favourite. He was a handfull in 2012: the Eden Hazard or Sadio Mane class of a player. I wish he will be there to add more glamour to the game. Wishing both sides good luck though.
@Paschal i agree with you Zambia really needed kalaba in the team.
This coach has to mend bridges with Kalaba. He is a phenomenal player who can create something from nothing. He is quick, can dribble, hold on to the ball and pass. In Uyo what will be crucial is holding on to the ball and keeping possession. The young lads who have come in are talented, can run and shoot and most importantly are hungry for success, but cool heads will matter the most in Nigeria. Kalaba and Chisamba Lungu would have been crucial in keeping possession, as well as Fwayo Tembo. This team is full of runners, but not many that can keep possession. Nigeria will have a lot of possession in that match. I still remain hopeful nonetheless.
My line up prediction 1.K mweene 2.S silwimba 3.F kapumbu 4.Z tembo 5.S sunzu 6.K mtonga 7.A mulenga 8.E mwepu 9.B mwila 10.P daka 11.F sakala
The decision the coach has made to leave out Kalaba and Sinkala is likely to work against him because we need well experienced and exposed players who can contain the pressure on the pitch
I’m not comfortable with Kapumbu in Defense..the Two goals we conceded in the previous encounter came through his side…Good player though…
Bane do u like players who thinks that they are untouchable? why are u beginning 4 kalaba inclusion?
This coach is pathetic how can you drop kalaba is the play maker nyirenda stop having personal vendetta with your players. I don’t zambia Will make it in uyo drop mischek chaila he coasted zesco
Drop mischek chaila bring kalaba. Kalaba is play maker.
Nigeria has vast experience of players. Nigeria Will carry the day. 1-0 in favour of the eagles
Mr.Nyirenda, I do agree with you on good selection but consider inclusion of Master play maker Kalaba plz and drop chaila
What has Nathan Sinkala done that he can’t be include in the team kanshi. With all due respect to Donashano, Chaila and Mtonga none of them come close to being a player that Nathan Sinkala is. Wada should not be fooled with the Algeria victories Nigeria is a different proposition
Kalaba nishani naimweee kalaba is very stupid like fwayo forget about him calling him all the time will make him think that he is untouchable
We seriously needed Kalaba. Kondwani, Kapumbu, Chaila & Donashano will make us watch the game with our hearts in our hands. They are truly pathetic.
