Div 1 Zone 1: Lundazi United look to overtake National Assembly

National Assembly, Lundazi United and Wonderful maintained their unbeaten run in the FAZ Division 1 Zone league to maintain position one, two and three positions respectively at the end of week six.

National Assembly recorded a significant 2 – 1 win in a local derby against Lusaka Tigers.

Tshite Mweshi scored a brace in the game to hand the Parliamentarians their fourth win which takes them to 14 points.

Lundazi United moved into second position in midweek when they beat Riflemen 2 – 0 with goals from David Stanley in a game Riflemen missed a penalty.

They maintained their position when they followed up the mid-week win with another 2 – 1 away win over Happy Hearts in Lusaka.

Lundazi look to be in a strong position as they are on 13 points with a game on hand.

They could go top today when they play their game in hand against 13th placed Police College who lost to Kafue Celtic over the weekend.

Third placed Wonderful continued their good run when they beat Katete Rangers 2 – 1 to go to 12 points.
