Depleted NAPSA Stars host Green Buffaloes

NAPSA Stars could be without five players when they host Green Buffaloes this afternoon at the National Heroes Stadium.

The Pensioners will be without their skipper Luka Banda who is suspended after being sent off in their 1-0 win over Zanaco

Dickson Chapa and Musonda Kabengele are a doubt as they are carrying injuries and need a late fitness test to play this afternoon.

Meanwhile Leonard Musonda and Fredrick Mwimanzi won’t be available this afternoon as they can’t play against their  parent club according to their loan deal, something Mutapa wants looked into and sorted the way European teams let their players play.

“Our Captain Luka Banda is out because he was sent off in the last game, we have a doubt on Dickson Chapa and Musonda Kabengele who were nursing injuries.

Leonard Mulenga and Fredrick Mwimanzi are out because they are playing their parent club. And this is something that can be looked into in future because if we can see European Clubs feature players playing against their parent clubs, this can be the same here in Africa too,” Mutapa said.

The former Orlando Pirates midfielder is expecting a tough match against Green Buffaloes.  Mutapa however says his team is eying a win this afternoon.

“Big game, local derbies are never easy, but this is our home game. I think the last encounter we lost to them, but this is the second round, six games to go. Being at home we need the maximum points, but football has three results, but our aim is to win,” he said.

“In football you always want to win all the games but football being what it is, there are only three results and even before coming to this game, we have drawn, won, and lost, and when preparing we aim to get maximum points which this game is no different. Preparations have gone on so well and we are looking forward to winning this game,” he added.

NAPSA Stars host second placed Green Buffaloes at the National Heroes Stadium and a win could see them move into the top 4 while Buffaloes want to keep up the place with log leaders Power Dynamos at the summit.
