Daka’s heroics earns him praise from Leicester City and England legend, Gary Lineker

Patson Daka was in scintillating form on Wednesday afternoon as he netted four goals to help Leicester City to a 4-3 win over Spartak Moscow away in Russia.

The haul meant Daka became the fifth player to ever score more than three goals in a UEFA Europa League game following in the footsteps of Edison Cavani, William Jose, Radamel Falcao, and Athletic Bilbao legend, Aritz Aduriz.

Following his exploits, Daka was showered with praise by 2003 English Football hall of fame inductee, Gary Winston Lineker describing the Zambian forward as ‘another gem’.

Lineker took to Twitter in his usual football commentary talking about his former teams’ match with Patson Daka appearing in all his tweets on the match.

Lineker who played for the Foxes between 1978 and 1985 also thanked the 2017 CAF young player of the year for saving ‘the Lineker lads European tour’.

The Zambian forward scored four goals including a nine-minute hat-trick to help the Foxes to their first win of the 2021/2022 UEFA Europa League campaign.

The four goals have helped Daka to break several records including becoming the first player to net three goals in a single game for Leicester City on the European stage.
