Daka named in Salzburg squad for Guimaraes

Red Bull Salzburg head coach Marco Rose has named Zambian striker Patson Daka in his squad which has travelled to Portugal for the UEFA Europa League fixture against Vitoria de Guimarães.

Salzburg play their Group I opening match away to Vitoria SC at the Estadio Dom Afonso Henriques on Thursday evening.

The group also contains Olympique de Marseille (France) and Konyaspor (Turkey) whom the Austrian side is scheduled to play on 28 September and 19 October 2017 respectively.

Daka has been promoted from Salzburg’s academy side FC Liefering. He made his Europa League debut last month when he came on as a second half substitute to replace Norwegian striker Fredrik Gulbrandsen in Red Bull Salzburg’s 4-0 win over FC Viitorul Constanta.

The 19-year old is a UEFA Youth Cup champion with Salzburg’s youth team.
