Daka, Mwepu up against all odds in Europa

Zambian duo of midfielder Enock Mwepu and striker Patson Daka will this evening together with their Redbull Salzburg team mates look to overturn a three nil deficit and progress to the quarter finals of the UEFA Europa League.

The Austrian Bundesliga Champions we’re handed a three nil defeat in the first leg away in Italy and will have to fight against all odds to reverse the result in 90 minutes.

Salzburg Head coach Marco Rose is aware if the huge task that is in front of him and his boys tonight.

Defender Andre Ramalho believes it’s possible to overturn the result but it will be very difficult for the Austrian giants.

Salzburg are no strangers to this situation as they lost the first leg against Club Brugge 2-1 and then beat the Belgian club 4-0 at the Redbull Arena, Patson Daka providing a brace.

Last season when they faced another Italian opponent in Lazio, Salzburg lost the first leg 4-2 but went on to eliminate the Italian club 6-5 on aggregate in the same competition.

The Zambian duo are expected to start the match as the Salzburg look to end their two game winless streak. They can however be motivated by the fact that they have never lost a match at home in over two years.
