Chipolopolo Boys forward Patson Daka scored a brace to earn Leicester City a point against The Lilywhites at King Power Stadium.
The Zambian international scored twice but the Foxes couldn’t break through to find a late winner in the closing stages of Good Friday’s fraught 2-2 draw with Preston North End.
Daka’s first came just four minutes in at King Power Stadium, but Paul Heckingbottom’s visitors turned the game on its head before half-time.
Andrew Moran’s swiped shot came off the bar and landed over the line in the 38th minute before a second for the Lilywhites – Ben Whiteman’s looping header – put them in front seven minutes later.
Leicester City pushed for a leveller after the break and were rewarded with nine minutes to play, Daka firing a second into the roof of the net, but the Foxes weren’t able to go on and snatch a late winner which would have been precious in their fight for Sky Bet Championship survival.
Leicester remain 22nd on the log as they head to already-relegated Sheffield Wednesday on Monday, looking to make sure it is still a profitable Easter weekend.
Daka has now made eight goals contributions for Leicester City this season (five goals and three assists).
