Chipolopolo Boys forward Patson Daka and his Leicester City teammates have now shift their focus to the UEFA Europa Conference league.
The Foxes are coming from a 3-1 loss away at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and will be keen to seal their passage to the final of the Conference League.
Daka returned to the starting line up over the weekend and put in a 67 minute shift in the loss to the LillyWhites.
With Jamie Vardy back from injury it’s not clear who will start upfront for Brenden Rogers but the English man is a priority in such high level matvhe with Kelechi Iheanacho and Daka likely to start from the bench.
Daka and his teammates have a chance to reach a European final and to add another piece of silverware to the Club’s growing honours list.
City has since departed for Rome – the Eternal City – determined to write more history into the Club’s folklore on the European stage.
It’s even at 1-1 after the first leg in Leicester last week. Lorenzo Pellegrini’s opener for Roma was equalised by a Gianluca Mancini own goal on Filbert Way, but it was City who were in the ascendancy for much of the match. The vociferous Stadio Olimpico atmosphere will add to the sense of occasion this week.
Marseille or Feyenoord will be the opponents in Tirana later this month. In just over 24 hours, we’ll know whether it’ll be Roma or Leicester City who join them there.
The Foxes face Roma in the second leg of the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League with City bidding to reach the final of a European final for the first time in the 8pm kick-off on Thursday.
