Power Dynamos hitman Patson Daka says his critics have spurred him on to good form as they have pushed him to work hard.
Speaking after he received the man of the match award after he hit a brace when his team whitewashed Lusaka Dynamos 4 – 1, Daka thanked God for helping him regain his scoring touch.
‘I first want to thank God for the gift he has given, and I thank my team mates as well.’
‘For the poeple that have criticized me, I don’t think I would have been where I am if they did not give the criticism they leveled against me,’ the Chipolopolo striker said.
The former U17 skipper has found his scoring touch under coach Dan Kabwe and has netted 6 goals for his club this season.
He had only scored a goal before Kabwe joined Power Dynamos but he has now emerged as the team’s top striker.
Fans were growing impatient with the budding striker after he continued receiving call ups at all levels of the national team despite lacking goals at the club.
The teem striker last year represented Zambia at the U17 Championship, U20 Championship and the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.

it’s good you have started living your potential but honestly it was misguided who ever was including you in the senior team. Continue to work hard on your area technique and you could develop into another Giroud or Cristiano
pliz continue scoring nd help our poor nation team at the moment nd do yo credt job.we thank u!
Good thing you took the criticism in your stride and not let it bring you down. Keep working hard and proving yourself and keep making us the critics eat humble pie.
So the PSL kicks off tonight, hopefully the Zambian contingent makes a mark again this season. Mbesuma raised the flag high by winning the Golden Boot. Kennedy even after all the speculation did not move and has stuck it out at Sundowns. Hopefully he will get more game time this season. Lewis Macha has created a lot of expectation after his carling cup goal. Only time will tell but I hope once again our flag is raised high starting with Lewis Macha tonight.
You still need to improve further AMATEUR.
But daka should not be rushed to the national team.let him be with power for until he is ripe for national team. All i can do is to wish you good luck and continue working hard u are still young
Ati chipolopolo striker, these are the lads that has costed us afcon 17 together with lwandamina.
He is improving. One day he will score us a header in an international match. His a well built powerful lad. I like his seriousness, he has to be gamely in that 18 yard box…shoving defenders away, a little arrogance and all that small staff that will make look more ambitious.
