He has spotted at matches involving the hosts, Ghana, Morocco and Zambia.

He won the title with Zambia and the Elephants in 2012 and 2015 respectively.

He also took Morocco to the 2018 World Cup.

His first stint in Africa was when he worked as Claude LeRoy’s assistant/physical trainer during his time as Ghana coach.

Renard also had short spells as Angola and USM Algiers coach as well as stints at French clubs Sochaux and Metz.
