Green Buffaloes Women’s Football jetted into Durban, South Africa on Monday ahead of the kick off of the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League| COSAFA Qualifiers.
The defending Champions arrived in Durban at exactly 18:20 hrs.
Last year the Zambian Champions beat Mamelodi Sundowns on post match penalties to win the tournament.
Coach Kaluba Kangwa has named a strong 26 member squad for the tournament.
Elite Ladies on loan duo of Comfort Selemani and Xiomara Mapepa are part of the team that traveled yesterday.
Other Newcomers include Strikers Agness Phiri who joined from Queens Academy, Enelesi Phiri who joined from Nkwazi Queens, Midfielders Salome Phiri and Esther Banda both from BUSA Queens.
Copper Queens goalkeeper Eunice Sakala and Martha Katila Banda have also made the squad.
Maylan Mulenga who scored 24 goals last season in the domestic league, Natasha ‘Little Tasha’ Nanyangwe, Lubasi Pumulo and U17 National Team forward Namute Bwalya Chileshe have all made the cut.
Buffaloes will begin their title defense against Double Action of Botswana on Wednesday 30th at Sugar Ray Stadium CAT 15h00.
