The Confederation of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) has released the fixtures for next months’ COSAFA CUP.
Chipolopolo who are seven-time winners Zambia clash with Comoros (18h00 CAT / 16h00 GMT) on Friday June 6th for their opening match of Group D.
Zambia will conclude their group games against Botswana on Wednesday, June 11th at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium.
The Chipolopolo Boys will use the Chan Tournament team for this competition as part of preparations.
Meanwhile Zimbabwe and Mauritius will open the HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA Cup 2025 in Mangaung | Bloemfontein when they clash in Group A at the Toyota Stadium on Wednesday, June 4 (kick-off 15h00 CAT / 13h00 GMT).
Later, hosts South Africa will welcome Mozambique at the same venue in a repeat of their opening game in 2024 that finished 1-1. That match will kick off at 18h00 CAT (16h00 GMT).
Malawi and Lesotho play the first game in Group B on Thursday, June 5 (15h00 CAT / 13h00 GMT), and later in the evening Angola and Namibia are in action in a repeat of last yearās final that was won 5-0 by Palancas Negras (18h00 CAT / 16h00 GMT).
The first game in the three-team Group C is the following day when Morocco take on
Madagascar (15h00 CAT / 13h00 GMT).
The matches will take place at Toyota Stadium, which was a host venue during the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium, home to South African topflight side Marumo Gallants.
The semi finals will take place on June 13. The winner of Group A will face the top side in Group D, and the winner of Group B will be up against the leading side in Group C.
There will be a third-place play-off that will be staged on June 15, with the final of
the competition later that same afternoon at 15h00 CAT (13h00 GMT).
All games in the knockout rounds will be held at the Toyota Stadium. Matches will be broadcast on SABC and SuperSport and streamed live on FIFA+.
