Chipolopolo coach Aljosa Asanovic has finally joined the team after being left behind due to some VISA hitches.
According to a FAZ post on social media, Asanovic went straight to work just hours after linking up with the team taking the boys through their paces at the Escombe training club.
Asanovic and his European assistants had remained behind to sort out their visa entry into South Africa and missed the quarterfinal match that the Chipolopolo won 5-4 on post-match penalties. The match ended 1-1 in regulation time.
Former Chipolopolo Boys defender Moses Mwape Sichone took charge of the team in the absence of Asanovic.
Senegal beat Eswatini on post-match penalties to qualify to the semifinals while Zambia overcame Botswana via the same route. Both matches ended 1-1 in regulation time.
Zambia will square off with Senegal on Friday for a place in the final of the 2022 Hollywoodbets Cosafa Cup.
The Copper Bullets and the Teranga Lions clash will be played at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium and will kickoff at 19H00.
