Copper Queens coach Bruce Mwape believes Monday’s Group C tie against Costa Rica will be tough.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the 09h00 kickoff, Mwape has urged his team to finish the tournament on good note.
Both Zambia and Costa Rica have been eliminated from the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
“Tomorrow’s game I think it will not be easy for one obvious reason. We are playing a team that has not won any game in our group.
Even us, we have not won any game that we have played. That is the more reason it will not be easy.
“I am sure the other team (Costa Rica) also wants to get at least points. But ours also is after the maximum points, so I strongly feel we need to do well and we want to finish on a good note.”
The Copper Queens and Costa Rica will go head to head in their final 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Group C match this morning.
Kick-off at the Waikato stadium will be 09h00CAT, live on SuperSport and TopStar.
