Zambia Under-17 beat Tanzania 5-0 at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium in the first leg of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier.
A brace from skipper Zangose blessings Zulu and a goal from Saliya Mwanza gave the home side a comfortable lead in the first half.
Second half goals from striker Bwalya Chileshe and substitute Ruth Muwowo put the result beyond the East Africans.
The Selengeti girls will host Zambia in the return leg in Dar es Salaam.










The 2024 World Cup will be hosted by the Dominican Republic from October 16 to November 3.
Zambia featured at the 2014 World Cup in Costa Rica. Goalkeeper Hazel Nali, Barbra Banda and Grace Chanda featured at that tournament.
