Copper Princesses match against Morocco moved to Heroes Stadium

The Zambia U17 Women’s National team fourth and final round of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Morocco has been moved to Heroes Stadium.

The match was initially scheduled for Nkoloma Stadium but will now take place at the National Heroes Stadium.

The ZamFoot Crew understands that the change has been neccestated by the Confederation of Africa (CAF) refusing the Chesstone based Stadia to host the match.

It’s not clear what the problem is with Nkoloma Stadium given that it was perfectly fine to host the match against Tanzania in the second round.

Morocco set up a date against Zambia via an 8-0 aggregate victory over Algeria in the previous round.

The Copper Princessess progressed to the final round thanks to a 2-1 aggregate over Uganda.

Zambia will be hoping to start the two legged tie on a good note having been bad travellers in the first two rounds losing away in both games by a single goal.

Zambia last qualified to the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2014, a squad which featured the likes of Barbra Banda, Hazel Nali, Ireen Lungu, Margaret Belemu and Grace Chanda.

Tickets for the match have since gone on sale countrywide in ShopRite stores via Computicketing.

VIP tickets have been pegged at K100 while the rest of the pitch will cost K30.

The return leg is set for  June 15th in Morocco.

Dominican Republic are hosts for this year’s FIFA World Cup tournament, starting from 16th October- 3rd November, 2024.
