Copper Princesses intensify preparations ahead of Ethiopia showdown 

The Zambia Under-17 Women Nation Team, the Copper Princesses have intensified their preparations for the Morocco 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier first leg, final round against Ethiopia.

Zambia thrashed DR Congo 7-0 on aggregate to set up a meeting with Ethiopia who saw off Burundi 4-2 in their tie. 

The Copper Princesses are looking to secure a third World Cup qualification having made it to the 2024 and 2025 editions. 

Coach Carol Kanyemba and her technical bench have been busy at work in Ndola where the first leg will take place before the team treks to Addis Ababa for the return leg.

Kanyemba will look to striker Grace ‘Pogba’ Phiri to lead the charge alongside skipper Taonga Mubanga and left back Faith Kaunda.

The engine room of the team, the incomparable Natasha Kasema has a knock is racing against time to be fit for the match on Saturday.
