Copper Princesses Head to Morocco for Final World Cup Preparations

Zambia’s Under-17 Women’s National Team have departed for Morocco for a pre-tournament training camp ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

Coach Carol Kanyemba’s side left Zambia at 14:20 aboard Airlink and will travel via Johannesburg and Paris before arriving in Rabat, where the team will be based for the final phase of their preparations.

The Copper Princesses are scheduled to face China in an international friendly on October 9, with another warm-up match expected to be arranged before the start of the tournament.

The friendlies will provide Kanyemba with an opportunity to assess her squad against high-level opposition and fine-tune preparations ahead of Zambia’s World Cup campaign.

Zambia have been drawn in Group D alongside Japan, France and Venezuela, setting up a demanding group-stage challenge.

The tournament will be hosted in Morocco from October 17 to November 7.
