Zambia U17 Women’s national team foursome has made the 2022 COSAFA U17 Women’s Championship best eleven.
Defenders Theresa Musatila, and Esther Musialela are joined by wing wizard Mercy Chipasula and midfielder Jessy Zulu.
Jessy Zulu was key for the Copper Princesses in the middle of the park in the run up to clinching silver losing 1-0 in the final to South Africa.
Mercy Chipasula was mesmerizing on the wing while Theresa and Esther kept a tight ship at the back.
Malawi star Rose Kadzere who scored a brace in the semifinals against Zambia leads the squad.
Player of the tournament, Sinazo Ntshota, midfielder Gositang Motshegwe, the incredible Portia Masilela and goalkeeper of the tournament Casey Gordon make up the South Africa continent in the team.
Midfielder Harriet Matipa and goalkeeper Margaret Phiri have made the bench alongside Mercy Wasi and Andrielle Mine.
Surprisingly, Blessings Zangose Zulu who scored in all four games for Zambia including a brilliant strike in the final misses from both the squad and substitutes bench.
The Copper Princesses beat Botswana 5-0 before thrashing Comoros 10-0 in the second group game.
The Naomi Phiri drilled outfit edged Malawi on penalties in the semifinals before succumbing to a 4-3 loss to South Africa in the final.
