Copper Bullets eye Equatorial Guinea scalp

The Zambia national team will this evening square off with Equatorial Guinea in a Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Estadio de Malabo.

The Copper Bullets will be looking to get a positive result away from home in only the second meeting between the two sides. Zambia beat the Nzalang Nacional in 2012 thanks to a Christopher Katongo lone strike at the AFCON finals which Zambia went on to lift.

Coach Best on Chambeshi will be without injured skipper Enock Mwepu and will also miss Djurgadens duo of striker Edward Chilufya and midfielder Emmanuel Banda who could not travel to Malabo.

Between the sticks, Zambia has the trio of Mwenya Cyril Chibwe , Gregory Sanjase, and Lameck Siame who all are lacking game time at their clubs.

In defense, Tandi Mwape is expected to partner with either Simon Sakala, Isaac Shamujompa, or Dominic Chanda in the heart of the defense. Simon Silwimba and Benedict will battle for a position at right-back while Prosper Chilufya is expected to start at left-back.

In midfield, Dickson Chapa is expected to start in a defensive midfield role. In the attacking role, Chambeshi has options in Prince Mumba, Larry Bwalya, and Clatous Chama.

Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, Fashion Sakala, and Lubambo Musonda will offer options on the wings as Patson Daka leads the attack with options in Brian Mwila, Moses Phiri, and Jimmy Mukeya.

Zambia faces Equatorial Guinea in Malabo this evening with kickoff at 18h00 CAT and the game will be beamed live on ZNBC.
