Copper Bullets celebrate Independence Day in Ethiopia…As South Sudan friendlies fall off

The Chipolopolo boys may be far from home but coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic and the boys joined the nation in celebrating the country’s 56th Independent day

The Chipolopolo Boys this morning, 24th October 2020 took time off to celebrate the country’s 56th independence day at the Jupiter International Hotel in Addis Ababa led by the delegation leader Lee Kawanu in recognizing the country’s freedom gained on 24th October 1964.

The Copper Bullets are in Addis Ababa to play a series of friends against Ethiopia and South Sudan however the two friendlies that they were scheduled to play against South Sudan have been called off as the Bright Stars failed to travel to Ethiopia due to Logistical reasons, The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has confirmed.

The Copper Bullets will take on Ethiopia in the remaining friendly match tomorrow at the Addis Ababa stadium, the first match between the two teams ended 3-2 in favor of chipolopo with Alfred Kangwanda stealing the show with a debut brace.
