FAZ has stated that Zanaco will meet the expectations for club licensing amid the speculations that Zambia’s CAF Confederations Cup representatives are on the verge of missing the 30th November 2015 CAF deadline.
According to FAZ Club Licensing manager, Erick Mwanza, Zanaco are on track after working closely with the licensing body.
“Zanaco FC has done progressive meetings and consultations with the Licensing body. These have been very positive and progressive. The Bankers are right on track to fulfill all requirements and meet the requirements as dictated under the five key criteria for issuance of a club license,” Mwanza said.
One of the fields in which Zanaco lagged behind include the ownership of stadium certified by CAF to host international matches. The ZamFoot Crew however understands that Zanaco will adopt Nkoloma Stadium as there home ground.
FAZ are already looking at third placed Power Dynamos and Cup winners Green Buffaloes as potential replacements for Zanaco should they fail to meet the licensing criteria.
CAF has set a deadline of 30th November, 2015 for continental club Championships representatives to be issued with Club Licensing Certificates to enable them compete in 2016 Champions League and Confederations Cup.
