Collins Mbesuma won tribute from his coach Clive Barker who described him as ‘Magic’ after he scored a hattrick in a friendly against Witbank Spurs.
Mbesuma who was introduced in the second half of the game completed his hattrick in 12 minutes to the amusement of his coach.
“He’s magic,” said Clive Barker who was attending a second Neuroscience Applied to Sports Training session this afternoon.
The burly striker has this season appeared in all 17 games for his club scoring a paltry 3 goals in return.

No comment! Actually I just did comment, never mind.
lol
Thanks Positive thinking for your nice positive points we can draw from the AFCON 2015 defeat in the previous news.I can surely identify myself with you and those remarks are good for sure me. May be I will not have any more headaches and stresses. I will still be following the under 17 and 20 though. It is hard to quit!
Stephen, you know my pain too eh. Anyway, bola ni bola. You live to fight another day.
Chachine ba Positive Thinking bola ni bola no wonder it was designed with a spherical shape. it can go either way, you win some and lose some. However, it is so painful when you had all the right players to chose from who could have changed the embarrassment we have gone through.
I just hope we have learnt our lesson the hard way, and now we should start strategizing qualifying for the world cup 2018.It is not too early.
king elvis janza failed to coach zesco a club national team is too big for hm janza he s just a school boy he don’t knw hw 2 study the game & whn 2 substute, we need a pro coach
He would have gotten 3 from the Afcon

one supersport analist made fun of zambia by saying its only in zambia were you will be called to retire from football at 29years. he was refaring to Felix katongo, Collins Mbesuma and Chris who is 30 this year. he was praising congo Drc for keeping a 39 years goal keeper. in zambia, our Janza would have gone with the under 17 goal keepers. Egos aside and defference aside nation first. Janza left out peforming players on pesonal emotional forgetting the 13 million people.
I don’t know if we can count Mbesuma as a performing player because he scored 3 goals in 12 minutes in a friendly match. He basically has scored the same amount of goals in 17 matches and he is a striker. Him not being selected was definitely not about egos. We need a comprehensive list of players performing. i.e. games played, total minutes, goals, assists. Take names like Felix, Chris, Jacob, Kola, Mbesuma and compare them to the players chosen. Maybe that will be a good place to start on understanding the stats.
Mbesuma has still got to prove himself 17 games and three goals in a friendly against an unknown team and yet some pipo want to capatilise on it!!! That Supersport guy saying its only in Zambia where players are retired at 29 years, must have his brains checked properly. Look at the SA team all veteran players have litterally been retired at their early age by Mashaba. If that analyst is from SA then he has a bone to chew with Janza or Zambian football, and if CK was on that platform and he kept quiet instead of correcting him then something seriously wrong there. Someone here is blaming Janza for Sunzu, ahhh guys are you really serious? Sunzu played well and did not disappoint at all, guys we lost and we are out our biggest undoing were strikers who could not take those chances.
I still dont know why Jacob and Chris were not in the travelling party. I might as well say Isaac Chansa.
47TH MINUTES SECOND HALF GUINEA -1 MALI-1
RAINARD IS IN THE QUARTERS–THE ELEPHANTS BEAT CAMEROON BY A GOAL TO NIHIL…MALI AND GUINEA DREW WITH A GOAL EACH..
Zamfoot no longer following AFCON?
Where is Mumbi?
What about Paradox?
The co-conspirators cannot be found anywhere. If any one per chance bumps into them, please advise them that ghanasoccernet misses them. They are always welcome rain or shine. They should not wait till Ghana is out before they bring their big mouths. THAT IS NOT A FIGHTING SPIRIT. Ups and downs should not deter a comrade from sharpening their tools.
check them on Ghana soccernet blogs
Atleast Mbesuma is playing and scoring some goals mwati Bena Mayuka, @ John what do you say now after Ivory coast have qualified for the quarter finals over your favorite Cameroon?
Chachine ba Positive Thinking bola ni bola no wonder it was designed with a spherical shape. it can go either way, you win some and lose some. However, it is so painful when you had all the right players to chose from who could have changed the embarrassment we have gone through.
I just hope we have learn our lesson the hard way, and now we should start strategizing qualifying for the world cup 2018.It is not too early.
Lol, butti iwe. Atti that’s why it’s a spherical shape. You are not lying. I have hung up my jersey, I think it was bad luck mwe. Ello, did Zambia go with one jersey? 3 matches no change.
I think it was bad luck this time Positive thinking. Just look how it rained so bad as if there was going to be the Noah floods. On the jersey limbi eyo basala to be our national team identity.
I am sure they were not wearing the same jersey,it was just the colour they chose.
On a different note, looks like many local coaches are in support of retaining Janza as a coach.
If Kalusha will not be controlling him,I wouldn’t mind to see Janza continue as a team manager. At least he will not run away from the team and he was willing to work even without any contract.
We already know bambi abatubutwike pantu tabalefula. We are understand that ,but then we have some one who is patient and he has the heart for the country-Janza.
Janza kuwayawayafye, we need a proper coach who ‘ll be impartial and will be able to get the best out of our players, look at what Janza has done to Sunzu by criticizing him for going to China, he killed all his confidence and he never the same Sunzu we all know.
Janza is a very useless coach and Patrick Phiri is even a better coach because he had no issues with players. He omitted all the experienced players from the squad and if you can see teams with experienced players are the ones who went through to the next stage.
May be Janza himself needs some help on how he can instill confidence in players and also how to not let the victory slip when you are leading the game.Anyone to suggest such kind of courses for Janza?
MAGIC INDEED……MEANWHILE JANZA HAS TO GOOOOOOOOOOOO
Sunzu played well dont blame Janza for calling a spade a spade and not a big spoon (sorry Hammer for stealing your trade marked words). On another note CAF has come up with a new format of qualification Mali and Gueanea drew yesterday and the team to qualify will be decided by picking from the box like “take your pick”, awe Issa Hayatou and his CAF are running out of ideas on administering Soccer pa Africa. Why not extra time and penalties why go to the boardroom to decide. This is the first of its kind and its not soccer any more but AFRICAN FOOTBALL made in Cameroon. Kalu and all CAF committee are in agreement to this? Ahhh no this should not happen in football.
@Brave Nchanga Ranger, I agree with you on the fact that its not the best of approaches but note that this law has been there for quite some time and this scenario has even happened before(were its decided by the lot).
CAF should have gone for discipline aspect where by a team that has accrued many yellow cards or red is placed behind the one with few cards.
Anyway its a useless tornament with useless rules with a lot of Ebola spreading among those teams who will take too long in Eq Guinea. Thank God we came back early.
HR will take CDV to the finals
I have always said that Mbesuma is one of the most dangerous strikers that we have ever produced in 50 years. He should have been at the FACON for heaven’s sake. Him together with Christopher Katongo and Roger Kola. It’s a pity that the PATHETIC Honour Janza decided to ignore him!
Look at a clueless comment from mumbi
Truly speaking, team selection killed us
The one who was talking about early retirement of players in zambia is Daniel Amakochi, who with keshi failed to qualify Nigeria to Afcon. 7nfact he was sympathising with the leaving out of experienced players like Chris. “Am surprised that the player that the team needs is right here in the studio”. Amokachi referring to fellow analyst Chris Katongo on superspory.
If Ivory Coast Meet Algeria in the quarter finals then they are out. Finals may be a North african affair or between North and West.
