Clatous Chama, Kabaso, Chibwe, and Sinkala named in Micho’s provisional squad

Zambia national team head Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has named his provisional squad for the back-to-back 2021 Cameroon (to be played in 2022) Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Algeria and Zimbabwe.

Micho has recalled defender Kabaso Chongo, midfielder Clatous Chota Chama and striker Brian Mwila for the two crucial encounters.

The Serbian Wolf has also recalled 2012 AFCON winner Nathan Sinkala and South African-based goalminder Cyril Mwenya Chibwe. Former Zanaco duo of Rodrick Kabwe and Salulani Phiri has also returned to the Chipolopolo Boys set up.

Redbull Salzburg duo of striker Patson Daka and midfield ace Enock Mwepu lead the lineup.

Zambia is bottom of Group H with just three points from four games and needs two wins to find their way back to the biggest football fiesta on the continent since 2015. Algeria tops the group on 10 points while Zimbabwe lies second with five.

Zambia will host Algeria on March 25 before trekking to Harare four days later for the back-to-back encounters in the Group H final qualifiers.

  2. I agree with you why is Mayuka,Kalaba,
Edward Chilufya, Emmanuel Banda e.t.c being snubbed for the call to the National team?

  3. Not all players can be called. Out of 41 provisional players, he can come up with a very strong squad. Its just a matter of analyzing coordination.

  4. This is a good team. CCC, Rally Bwalya, Kabaso and my man Nathan Sinkala and Chibwe are welcome additions. I applaud the Coach for bringing these guys back to the team.

Mayuka has been doing well but he’s only been making substitute appearances at NAPSA. With Patson D, A.Mulenga, B.Mwila, F.Sakala, Shonga, G.Lungu Sikombe, M.Phiri upfront. Please tell me who should E.Mayuka replace from the list of the players mentioned?

These two games are like Cup Finals on their own for us. This is a good team gentlemen. Lets support the Coaching Staff. If they can’t win with these guys then questions will be later. Just worried about F.Sakla I hope he is fit. He missed a few games for his team in Belgium.

  5. People are saying we need Mweene in Goal when was the last time Mweene started a game his fitness levels are low.
We seem to have a Strong Midfield my worry is upfront Daka will be marked heavily his a tap in kind of a player not so much of individual brilliance like Fashion or Mulenga.
But this is a good squad

  6. What about kalaba, chisamba and why did he leave this two players? Is there anything long with the coach because these two players are very good and they can replace one of the players the had called. So what is your response?
