Clatous Chama and Tandi Mwape on target in midweek

Zambian players were in action in midweek with Clatous Chota Chama and Tandi Mwape scoring goals to help their teams.

In South Africa, Forward Gamphani Lungu put in a full shift for Supersport United who played to a 2-2 draw with Chippa United in a DSTV Premiership.

In Angola, Striker Lazarus Kambole put in a full shift for Kaizer Chiefs as they edged Petro de Augusto 1-0 to progress to the CAF Champions League group stage.

In DR Congo, Defender Tandi Mwape scored TP Mazembe’s second goal in their 2-1 win over Bouenguidi to progress to the CAF Champions League group stage 4-2 on aggregate.

Former Chipolopolo skipper Kabaso Chongo put in a full shift partnering Tandi at the heart of defense.

Former Zambia national team captain, Rainford Kalaba was left out of the match day squad.

In South Africa, Goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene put in a full shift for Mamelodi Sundowns who beat Jwaneng Galaxy 3-1 to progress to the group stage of the CAF Champions league.

In Tanzania, Clatous Chota Chama scored a goal from the post while Rally Bwalya was involved in two goals and put in full shift as Simba SC thrashed FC Platinum 4-0 to secure a slot in the CAF Champions League group stage.
