City of Lusaka in $100,000 Southern Cross Motors sponsorship deal

FAZ/Eden University National Division One side, City of Lusaka, and Southern Cross Motors on Saturday, penned a three-year deal worth $100,000 (around K2 Million).

The deal will see Southern Cross Motors brands be displayed in Woodlands Stadium and will appear on the Club’s new replica shirt. This is according to a statement on the club’s official website monitored by the ZamFoot Crew.

“CITY of Lusaka Football Club has entered into a long-term sponsorship partnership with Southern Cross Motors (SCM).

SCM will be represented by their brands, namely, Haval, Mitsubishi, Jeep, Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and Fuso. Their brands will be proudly displayed in Woodlands Stadium and will appear on the Club’s new replica shirts.

SCM will be supporting Yamoto with cash sponsorship to assist the Club in reaching their sporting goals of gaining promotion to the Zambia Super League and beyond.”

Southern Cross Motors Managing Director, Ronny Palale, said the company was lucky to sign a deal with City of Lusaka.

“We are very lucky to have partnered with such a dynamic organization as City of Lusaka, led by Mr. Diego Casilli and his vibrant and energetic team. Assisted by our deal worth USD 100,000 over the term we are sure this will give further fuel to push the team to success both on and off the field,” he said.

For City Yamoto, Club Chairman, Chomba Mumba, said; “Yamoto has set very clear goals for what we need to achieve as a club, partnering with SCM brings us one step further on the journey to success.”

MTN was the first to partner with City when they won naming rights to the clubs’ Woodlands Stadium in February 2020 in a deal worth K1.5 Million ( $75,000) which was followed by Capital Fisheries and Hybrid Poultry becoming the teams’ food partners.
