Chris Kaunda sent on leave for the remainder of the season

Chris Kaunda has become the latest coach to be sent on administrative after the club confirmed he will miss the last four league games.

According to a statement by Zanaco media and public relations officer, Martha Nshimbi ‘Mr. Takatical’ has been put on leave following a string of poor results.

“Zanaco head Coach Chris Kaunda will not be in charge of the team for the last four games of the season. General Manager, Marlon Kananda announced the development to the players and technical bench before the Wednesday morning training session at Sunset.

Zanaco FC management has decided to put their head coach on leave following a string of poor results. Kaunda’s one and half-season stint as Zanaco FC coach has come to a halt after two consecutive defeats to bottom-placed Kitwe United and Buildcon FC.”

Team manager/Assistant coach Robin Munsanka will take charge of the team in the interim until the end of the season.

The bankers are currently second on the log with 50 points, eight adrift of log leaders ZESCO United who have played two games less however they have suffered back to back defeats, first losing 2-1 to relegated Kitwe United at home before being humiliated by Buildcon 4-0 on Tuesday.
