Green Eagles will play their second match at the on-going CECAFA Kagame Cup tomorrow, Monday, July 8th, They face Rwandese side Armée Patriotique Rwandaise Football Club (A.P.R.).
Eagles lead group C log on goal difference having won by two goals to nil while APR needed an additional time Manzi Thierry strike to secure maximum points as they narrowly beat Proline FC one nil.
Eagles head coach Aggrey Chiyangi says the mood in the camp is very good and the players are looking forward to facing APR.
“The mood is good in the camp and they are looking forward to playing tomorrows game,” he said.
Despite the comfortable two-nil win over Heegan FC on Saturday, Chiyangi is not convinced and wants his side to continue working hard.
“Am happy with our win yesterday. As a coach, you always see things that the team needs to improve on. Yes, they did well but we need to continue working on the team so that there is a lot of perfection,” he said.
APR won’t be easy but Eagles have the ammunition needed to dispatch them off. The Rwandese side is not new to Zambian football lovers as they faced Zanaco in the 2017 CAF Champions League first round.
Zanaco needed a Taonga Bwembya free kick away in Kigali to win the tie following a frustrating goalless draw at Nkoloma stadium in the first leg.
Chiyangi is expected to name the same team that beat Heegan FC on Saturday with Tapson Kaseba and Kennedy Musonda leading the attack.
Spencer Sautu and George Chaloba are expected to play a big part. Sebastian Mwange in goal wi also be crucial and needs to bring his A-game.
