The Copper Queens have reached full squad strength ahead of the four-nations 2025 Yongchuan International Tournament following the arrival of Penelope Mulubwa, Avell Chitundu and Maweta Chilenga in camp.
The trio’s arrival brings the team to its full complement of 24 players, joining the rest of the squad in final preparations for Saturday’s opening match against Thailand.
Zambia will face the world’s 47th-ranked side at 13h35 CAT at the Yongchuan Sports Centre Stadium.
The Yongchuan International Tournament is a key part of the Copper Queens’ preparations for the 2024 WAFCON (to be played in 2025) scheduled for July.
The tournament will kick off on Saturday morning with hosts China PR facing Uzbekistan at 09h30 CAT.
