Chisi names 20 Young Bullets for COSAFA

Zambia U-20 national team head coach Chisi Mbewe has named a strong member squad for the 2022 COSAFA U-20 Championship. 

Former Zambia U-17 skipper Joseph Sabobo Banda leads the squad alongside ZESCO United tricky winger Chipyoka Songa. 

Other notable names include Athletico Lusaka trio of Julius Kumwenda, Charles Majapa Mumba and Kingston Mutandwa. 

Green Eagles duo of midfielder Emmanuel Mukosha and striker Derrick Bulaya have also made the cut together with Nkana youngster Amon Chulu. 

Zambia will begin their Group A campaign against Mauritius at the Somhlolo Stadium on 7 October before facing hosts Eswatini two days later. They will wrap-up their group affair at Mavuso stadium against Botswana on 11 October.

The tournament is being used as a qualifier for the TotalEnergies AFCON U-20 Egypt 2023. 

The 2022 COSAFA U-20 Championship will run from October 7th to October 16th in Eswatini.
