Zambia coach Chisi Mbewe has said his side will do anything to beat Comoros in the final Group B at the ongoing 2024 Cosafa Cup.
The holders were eliminated from the tournament following the 2-0 defeat to Zimbabwe in the Battle of Zambezi.
This was Zambia’s second defeat at the tournament after a 1-0 defeat Kenya on match day 1.
Zambia will face Comoros on Tuesday. While Zambia will be playing for honour, the Islanders can qualify to the next stage with a win.
“I think it is not going to be easy. Comoros are also playing good football,” Mbewe said.
“We just need to ensure that we win the last game and make sure we walk out of the tournament with a win.
Zimbabwe lead the group on 6 points while Kenya and Comoros are on 3 points.
Zambia is bottom of group B
Zambia has gone 8 games without a win in all competitions.
It is the longest winless streak the Chipolopolo have had.
