Chipolopolo to leave for Senegal this afternoon, Ntazana impresses in first training as SA based duo jet in

The Zambia national team will this afternoon leave for Dakar, Senegal ahead of the three international friendly matches scheduled for the June FIFA window.

Micho has summoned a strong squad for the three friendly matches with several foreign players included in the team. Russian-based Klings Kangwa is among the players summoned for the engagements as Micho looks to fine-tune his squad.

Other foreign-based players summoned include the South Africa-based duo of Cyril Chibwe and Salulani Phiri who arrived in the country yesterday ahead of three international friendlies against Senegal, Benin, and Sudan.

Cardiff City U-18 winger Ntazana Mayembe who was handed his first national team call up, had his first training with the Copper Bullets yesterday and impressed during the 1-0 friendly match win over City of Lusaka.

Meanwhile, Lubambo Musonda is a doubt for the three friendly matches having sustained a knee injury. The medical staff is closely monitoring the Polish-based speedy winger as they hope to avoid aggravating the injury.

The Chipolopolo Boys will face Senegal in an international friendly match on June 5th, Benin on June 8th and then they are expected to proceed to Omdurman to play Sudan on June 11.
