Beston Chambeshi named six U23 players in the starting line-up handing senior international debuts to Nkwazi left back Kebson Kamanga, Nkana centre back Moses Nyondo and Zesco United right back Shemmy Mayembe against the African Champions who are preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Cameroon opened the scoring in the second minute through Wolfsburg striker Ntep de Madiba. Madiba rose above everyone and headed the ball past Nkana goalkeeper Allan Chibwe to make it one nil.

Zambia recovered well from the early setback and took the game their opponents but where not doing enough to trouble Carlos Kameni in goal.

Joel Taguel added a second in the 71st minute and that proved to be the decisive goal for the game.

PSL top scorer and Black Leopards striker Mwape Musonda came off the bench for Fashion Sakala in the 71st minute to pull one back six minutes later but it was not enough to rescue a draw.

  1. Why don’t these coaches want mbola on the team. Your full backs are weak. That goal keeper is also very useless don’t use him again. You local coaches are biased when selecting players. Chibwe is chambeshis goal keeper at nkana that already tells you something.

    • You seem not to like local coaches. Truth is they are the ones doing the real work. Which foreign coach has ever groomed a local player?

    • No Madalitso M Phiri on this one @John is right Chambeshi’s selection is biased in a way I feel there is something wrong with the Man, He needs emancipation from self.

  3. Chambeshi does not listen to advise, I feel He has a problem with hatred and it affects His selection.

    • Local coaches do the real job. Players make mistakes whether or not it’s a foreign coach involved. I saw late “Zoom” Ndhlovu(mhsrip) transform Zambian Soccer in my days as a youth. It took people with a heart and eyes to support him through. Today there is no difference in thinking between soccer fans and FAZ. How do you underate a coach who took you to U20 WC 1/4 final. How on earth?

  4. Chambeshi listens to insults. Only then will he change his selection. This goalkeeper is chambeshi’s girlfriend.

    • For me, Chambeshi, Chiyangi, George “chicken” and the same Wada are the guys with the answer to Zambia qualifying to Afcon 2021 and WC2022. If I was in charge of FAZ, I would systematically expose and upskill them while the qualifiers are running and still qualify and aim to go far in the tournaments. But not everyone sees what some of us see.
