The Zambia national team has lost ground ahead on the FIFA/COCA COLA Word rankings after they fail four places to rank 50th in the world according to the latest rankings released on Thursday morning.
With the defeat against South Africa this week weighing against the Chipolopolo, the Honour Janza coached side who ranked 10th in Africa last month have been overtaken by Mali to rank 11th in Africa with South Africa in a near 12th position.
Zambia opponents in the opening match at the Equatorial Guinea Africa Cup of Nations Dr Congo are in 13th position while the other two opponents Tunisia and Cape Verde are ahead of Zambia ranking second and seventh respectively.
Africa Top 20 Teams:
1. Algeria [18] 2. Tunisia [22] 3. Côte d’Ivoire [28] 4. Senegal [35] 5. Ghana [37] 6. Republic of Guinea [39] 7. Cape Verde Islands [40] 8. Cameroon [42] 9. Nigeria [43] 10. Mali [49] 11. Zambia [50] 12. South Africa [52] 13. Congo DR [57] 14. Egypt [60] 15. Congo Brazzaville [61] 16. Gabon [62] 16. Togo [62] 17. Burkina Faso [64] 18. Rwanda [68] 19. Uganda [77] 20. Libya [78]
I dont think a single loss to Bafana Bafana can cost Zambia to move 4 places backwards on FIFA rankings, besides that has little impact on the team, worry not we will gain at AFCON.
What is Nigeria doing at number 9 in Africa when they failed to be among the best 16 in Africa?
Its only FIFA that knows
South Africa should be better than Zambia and Nigeria. What has Tunisia done to deserve 2nd slot? Ine ukupapa buti apa, Janza shud hav included Milanzi kaili pipo want experience!!!
Ati Janza should have included Milanzi kaili want experience kikikikikikikikikikikikikikikiki
Nigeria is useless they don’t deserve a 9th place in Africa. FIFA you’re useless just like Nigeria.
DRC rallied from behind to draw 1-1 with Cameroon. This piece of news should be of worry to you than FIFA rankings at this time. When the draw was being conducted, I prayed we avoided them. They are on a mission to destroy and they are in shape.
Should we get alarmed just because DRC drew 1 – 1 with Cameroon? where (what) was Cameroon in the last two AFCON editions? Yes we need to put extra effort to shape our team up for the tourney but I believe we shouldnt be having jitters for teams that are even drawing, it will be a stupid mistake for our opponents in our group to say we will beat Zambia just because it lost to SA prior to the tournament.
O wise Judge I know Zambia fears no team but compare this group and your form to 2012 and 2013. In 2012, the team had fitness and had average teams to face until the match against us. In 2013 when we all thought Zambia were favourites they had it when Nigeria and Burkina Faso were in th group. And now, you have Tunisia, DRC an the blue sharks which are no meaner teams and you dont even have the strenght of 2013. Guess what?? DISASTER
Chu I wander why you cower so early before the 1st kick of the tournament Zambia’s group now should be considered difficult than that of 2012 with Senegal, Libya and the host E Guinea. This time our coach has noticed the need to fuse new blood in the team coz the 2012 edition started failing us with draws since the last edition of the afcon this should spur us on to perform better.
Chu, what is your point here? You’re not making. Zambia cannot be intimidated by DRC drawing with Cameroon. Zambia will beat all the teams in group B. How about that?
Do not undeestimated DRC, it is known as one of the biggest nation in Africa football! And they have more talent in europe like no others africa nation. If they are well organize, you’ll see how bad they can be. I think they deserve where they at right now because they qualified for CAN 2015, they have more players in Europe, they had two teams made the semi CAF final and they are working hard to regain their statut at african best.
I think FIFA rankings are based on an opinion poll done in Switzerland with no proper extrapolating. Nigeria of all comedians are in the top ten. its like competing with a dead person for a beautiful lady its a no contest.
FiFA rankings are fake, it does not give a true reflection of the team. Zambia. Will definitely come out from group stage,we will top the group. DRC,Cape verde and Tunisia does not pulse any treat. We are preparing the team adequately. Zambia knows DRC in and out,Cape Verde, respects Zambia that. Is why they parked the bus in Cape Verde. With Tunisia will be punch on punch.Game on
You are even lucky to be among the best fifteen, what has Zambia done to deserve the eleventh position ? Tweaa!
Yes what matters is we keep on beating the so called teams ahead of us, is it not a wonderful irony there? By the way how many point did Ghana get to qualify? and Zambia?
Zambian’s rankings will continue going down as long as we have a mediocre coach and bunch of small boys in the team. Our football needs fresh minds. We need new people to run our football. FIFA rankings are a true reflection of our performances. People should get that!
Kay Hummer, just do yourself a favour and stop being so negative, pick a pen and apply for a position in the FAZ administration or at least start with coaching any of the Zambian teams (including ones for women). That way you will put your wonderful brains of football to a good use.
I don’t need a job at FAZ. I am very comfortable in my life. FAZ needs great thinkers and technocrats of football. I am only here to offer checks and balances! It’s a pity that alot bloggers on this website have decided to embrace mediocrity. I am sorry i am not in the category. I call a spade a spade and not a big spoon!
Kay Hummer contradicting himself. Need fresh minds and yet calls the young lads introduced bunch of small boys. The coach is doing what you asked introducing fresh minds don’t blame him, football has evolved its team work and you need players that the can run 90min without wearing out.Notice that after the old guards were disowned results started getting positive when b4 even a win with Mazambique was hard to come by guys lets criticize with logic.
I don’t give a damn about this ranking, all I know is the best teams on this continent Africa are 1.Egypt 2.Ghana 3. Cameroon 4. Nigeria and the others in that order because of their achievements, consistency, etc. Kekekeke….
You’ve not seen anything yet, u will continue to be at such position till some of u realize u are not better as u think.
Mr. judge, how many teams in your group that u qualified from are found in the top twenty?
Why was Ghana getting beaten by very low low ranked teams in your group if you really deserve to be on 5th in Africa?
judge the lowest ranked team in Ghana group was uganda(19)
It was relatively speaking as in if Ghana is 5th then get beaten by Uganda 19th, thats very very low on the ladder. there are about 14 places between them! You get me?
Zambia won the AFCON 2012 with or without FIFA rankings. The team is focused and will not be moved by rankings. Go Chipolopolo Go!
why didn’t u top your group? This is what will always make u absentees in world football ie. Figs world cup. Nonsense.
we didnt top our group becoz our coach relied heavily on tired legs. wen fresh legs were introduced zambia won three games in a row, that tell you something
well the team u beat in 2012 wasn’t Ghana’s best team, that should also tell u something my brother. Ur point is baseless.
Derrick Boateng really dominated our midfield at Afcon 2012 and in Ndola in the World Cup 2014 qualifier (despite misbehaving with the Police at the end of the match) and since then i am yet to see a Ghanaian midfielder that enterprising!!!!
why didn’t u top your group? This is what will always make u absentees in world football ie. Fifa world cup. Nonsense.
Whats the use of you going there only to disgrace the continent? Its like bragging I have been to a university only to have yourself yanked out in first year.
In the last three world cups Ghana has been the most consistent in raising the flag of Africa, even in the latest edition which we admittedly failed to progress from the group stage due to coach player misunderstandings, our match with the eventual winners(Germany)was ranked the best match of the tournament. most European teams tremble at the prospect of playing Ghana(the German coach admitted Ghana gave Germany its toughest opposition in 2010 and 2014).what has Zambia done to compare with Ghana at the world stage. no one hates Zambia but u gotta be honest u ain’t Ghana’s equal u have a long way to go be humble and learn.
It always pains you to see zambia do well and it pleases you wen zambia does bad. its in you all ghanains. wen r u going to forget abt the 2012 afcon pain. put it behind you and move on and also stop hating on us
the last i checked, Ghana has the bragging rights cos we beat ur sorry asses in Kumasi, why would we care bout a shambolic team like urs which couldn’t even top its group.
hahahaha zambia is a wanna be
u just no where near us
Ghana(5)
Guinea(6)
Togo(16)
Uganda(19)
and Ghana Topped this group(we may loose a match but we do our homework and still the top. its called efficiency)
as for ur group the least said the better
Cape Verde
Zambia
Mozambique
Niger
and u couldn’t top the group. face it guys(Zambians) Ur group was a weak one yet u struggled
We dont jubilate at Zambia’s downfall, we only make fun of your mentalities. They are so chilish
childish*
in wat way r we childish?. We Know how u ghanais r. it pains u wen zambia makes progress like mentioned earlier. u will throw wat ever u think of at us, all caused by hatrage. zambia needs to hammer yo team once more to shut yo hate mouths up once and for all.
Ghaneans are bitter zoona, its a pity you can’t forget 2012, sorry brothers. Fifa rankongs won’t disturb our focus, we will work hard as always and will butcher you when we meet again at the nations cup. Good luck chipolopolo and God bless zambia the land. Of peace.
Let me give my final thought on the team going to afcon. Janza has done his best to bring in new blood. He has done well there and should be given a pat on the back. Chris katongo, mbesuma and Co failed in 2013 let them rest. The only mistake Janza has made is leaving out Jacob, kola and felix katongo. Jacob and kola would have given us height up front. Felix should have been called to give us another creative option from the bench. We needed 1 more creative player for cover on the bench.
John Thank you for your timeous sobering up. Trust me, having watched Jacob in action at his Turkish club a few weeks ago, i thought he was game. I do not want to contest your thinking on Felix because, from my recollection, he has not been a regular of late.
For the people worried about midgets, this may not be a factor at all. Ask Uncle Bobs, Brave Nchanga Rangers for Life, Big Steve from RSA, KK 11 etc the size of Thomas ‘Mosquito’ Bwalya or Kenani Simambe. It all depends on the coach’s tactics. The so called midgets can actually be deployed for a very destructive and combative role provided they blend speed and intelligence. So, let Janza our coach, realize that our boys are midgets (to borrow a term that has become viral on Zamfoot) and devise a strategy that will work to our advantage.
For my colleagues still talking about Afcon 2012, my appeal is that we stop talking about that because it belongs to history. No one will delete that History and so, there is no need to keep on referring to it as if someone will delete that historical aspect. One thing that is also true is that, the Afcon 2012 will not make us win another Afcon. It has absolutely got no bearing on the performance of our current and/or future teams.
One of our Ghanaian blogger and brother has correctly observed that our Afcon 2012 team’s conditioning was second to none and therein lay one of our major strengths during that tournament. Let our technical bench work on this and you will see how our midgets will leave defenders of our opponents not only dazzled but gasping for breathe. What is important is for the coaches to read the opponent’s game and deploy an appropriate system and avoid being too predictable.
Let us use the remaining time arguing amongst ourselves or indeed our Ghanaian brothers but share some ideas with our technical bench for an enhanced Chipolopolo performance. The world has long moved away from competing all the time. We have to identify areas and/or times when we need to compete and when we need to work together for the betterment of the task at hand. This is called CO-OPETITION. I have personally found a number of comments from our Ghanaian brothers very constructive and timeous warnings. I have been to Ghana for one of the Pan-African conferences and I have found the Ghanaian to be very good people. Along the main street in Accra, there is even a portrait of our first President KK, together with other greats like Nkwame Nkruma. I would rather suggest that we work together as proud Africans and lobby FIFA to increase the number of teams to the World Cup which I think is deservedly long overdue.
Meant to say, Let us NOT use the remaining time arguing….
Meant to say..and lobby FIFA to increase the number of AFRICAN teams to the World Cup….
sense ROK!!!
I have often times said ROK is fit to be on the technical bench of any African team. I now declare that ROK SHOULD BE THE PRESIDENT OF ALL BLACK AFRICA. As we (myself included -my emphasis), throw insults at each other, ROK exhibits a sense of maturity which we should all strive to attain. ROK shows leadership qualities that are unmatched.
AFRICA NEEDS YOU ROK. Africa lacks people of your calibre. ROK, never turn back on the good things you have started. This is a mental REVOLUTION which may save thousands, if not millions. The impact you have had on my thought processes is great and l hope other peace loving individuals on our beloved CONTINENT are taking lessons from your postings.
May the Good Lord provide in abundance whatever is needed in life for ROK. Let us all keep this unique AFRICAN in our prayers. A MAN OF THE PEOPLE INDEED.
Well said ROK
If at all you won’t be eliminated (ghana) in the first round…
if afcon was a league Ghana would be miles ahead of chipolopolo cos u are not consistent
kekekekee!!!
if there is a time ghanains r shivering and terrified, it is this time, knowing very well that their team they call a worldcup contender is likely to come out in the first round of the forthcoming afcon.
hahaha are u sure of what u are saying? we always bring a lot of debutants to Afcon but we always make Semi Finals ( after all the team u brag that u beat were full of our U 20 and a few Senior players). check and see u will realize we always field a depleted team at Afcon in order to give more players experience. That is why Ghana has a lot of experienced players by world cup qualifying time. learn and stop trying to equal us. Wanna bees
My dear, are you normal? Then what the hell do you go to do at AFCON if your aim is just to expose players?Just accept that AFCON is no child’s play.
I never said Afcon is childs play. Who told u Ghanaian debutants at afcon are small players? If they were zambians they would be ur stars. It is fact however that we bring in freshers at every afcon and we still get to semis unlike u zambians who dont trust ur young players.
Zamfoot do not mislead readers that Zambia’s loss to SA counted against them. The match was not played on a Fifa calendar date and its status was that of a practice match, not a friendly, which is why both teams had more than 5 susbstitutions each.
@John, I agree with you that Jacob and Kola will be a big loss. We are going to miss their physical presence. Big strikers attract defenders which leaves room for other players to exploit space. Mayuka is not renowned for his heading abilities or aerial threat. Of course, Sunzu and Mtonga can provide that when we have corners but not when it comes to attacks and counter-attacks. My biggest worry though is the midfield where Janza seems to be lacking ideas. It appears his strategy is to avoid using the middle and just use the wings, but surrendering the midfield to your foe is not the smartest thing to do.
I think people should be excited because this will be the most unpredictable first round in AFCON history. There are only 2 teams in this AFCON who are not in the top 16. Those are Eq Guinea and Burkina Faso. 3 of the top 5 teams are in one group any of which could be surprised by a resurgent bafana bafana. You have the west African group of fire in group D. Any team between Mali, Cameroon, and Ivorycoast could be in the qtr finals. Group A contains all the lowest ranked teams for AFCON, but 3 of those are 15 Congo, 16 Gabon and 17 Burkina Faso. Any one of those teams could come out of that group. This will be probably the most exciting AFCON in a long time. There are no sacred horses in this one.
good observation REALIST!!!
Kwarcee, how are you bro? How are you viewing these groups? You think Ghana has a good chance against the other big guns in your group? Its looking pretty tricky for you guys as well. I think if we can beat DRC, we should be able to make it to the quarter finals.
I see it is very tough for you guys, coz if you don’t top your group you will likely run into Ivorycoast in the quarter finals and those guys don’t take prisoners until the final. If you do top your group you could still run into Cameroon or Mali.
cuul REALIST,to begin with, for u to know what the future holds ,indeed u need to know from uor past whether lessons have bn learnt from where u fell,Ghana was grouped in the 2006 WC against 2nd ranked Czech republic, 4th ranked Italy and the USA who were also highly rated but we managed to come out anyways,so same is happening at this yrs AFCON with Algeria and senegal ahead of us in the latest rankings, but we will manage to top the group this time around, and we r not avoiding any team cos for u to win this cup ,u need to beat the best so no shaking at all,if pepo r claiming we wud b skinned alive, thas their poison to gulp down but for us is the usual AFCON where our least has been the semi finals in the last 4 editions or so.
for uor group,i believe u can manage tru with uor determination against star studded sides ,those guys in Bolassie and Mbokani need to b tamed and the rest wud b like a rope,it wud b very hard for uor opponents to single a player out of uor team to tame cos of equal output from all uor players, for now i think Mayuka is well known out there and that’s where sata sata comes in to do the damage,
when uor team had a false a start in the qualifiers,i commented on this platform u will still qualify with determination and today we r talking of the AFCON groups we find ourselves in,E go b.
Your English is bad man. Mind. At times it’s irritating.
We need to b tactically disciplined at the Afcon. We need to implore a” possession with progression” style of play i.e we adopt a 4.1.3.2(4.4.2) formation as opposed to the 4.2.3.1(4.5.1). The former forces the players to push the ball forward as opposed to keeping the ball in the midfield for too long. The supply of balls to the strikers z usually erratic, therefore having few or no shots on target, despite enjoying a superior ball possession as evidenced in the game against South Africa. At the moment we do not have a striker who can play as a lone striker. Kangwa, kampamba n Ngoma can’t because of height while Mayuka always needs a partner because he can not dribble.
Have you already analysed how the opposition will play? Stop confusing the coach.
this fifa ranking is useless..it took zambia over 70 years to win one afcon trophy and started to diminish.why are they even among the first 20 when they have managed to win only one away match and struggled to draw home in recent years? tweaa..
Nobody talks about a dead man if pipo keep talking abt u it means that u exist, the only way pipo dnt show interest in a dead man z they dnt get his name and give it to a child, i wonder y these black “chacoal” fans always love to invade our site only to insult us, i mean these guyz say that we are minnows bt i wonder how the same minnows have beaten them more than they have beaten the later, besides we are minnows to u guys so stop talking abt us we dnt tok abt lesotho or sudan coz we knw they minnows despite them costing us a world cup appearance, bt as far as am concerned we can beat ghana at any tym even tonight.
Watch us end the 34 year trophyless run this year and testify to Kwenku Bonsam’s prediction.
@Sakabinda, we have a weak back four so it would be suicidal to play 4-1-3-2. Our fragile defence needs extra cover by having a second defensive midfielder. If you have a strong back four, you can even afford to have a creative deep lying midfielder like Pirlo who orchestrates attacks from a deep position. Nathan Sinkala has shown in the qualifiers that he doesn’t have what it takes to be the sole defensive midfielder. He needs a partner. If I was the coach, I would actually partner Singuluma with Sinkala in the defensive midfield position for the sole reason that Singuluma is good at keeping possession and is a good passer of the ball. I would rather keep Mtonga in defence with Sunzu. In the advanced midfield position, I would play Kalaba in the middle because his trickery would be more useful there than wide. It would also stop him from repeatedly going offside as he is prone to do when he plays wide. I would also have Chisamba on his left and Lubambo Musonda on his right with Mayuka as the sole striker.
Wen was the last tiMe ghana won a trophy in africa or the Much toked abt world cup wich they cant win, good for nothing you have a good teaM wat hav you won past 20yrs? Win a trophy then Make noise Ghana ivorycoast your golden geration has failed to win a trophy FoRGET!! Flat headed kangaloos
Most Zambians are at not current at all. Beating us many times than we’ve done. Do some research b4 u talk nonsense, I don’t blame u.
Mweene
Nkausu. Sunzu. Mtonga. Mbola
Nathan. Chisamba
Kalaba
Mayuka. Sate sate. Singuluma
What are these black stars fans doing on our site.? Ghana is the most useless team in Africa. They went to Brazil as fans, late they changed to be economic refuges. What a shame to Africa.
Ghana is better than us. Don’t bring topics for the sake of it. We just need to work extra hard. That is all.
Germistone south, u must be ashamed of yourself. We have four afcons, we’ve been to the world cup, we are ranked higher than u. Why can’t u equal these? Fool.
@ gemi whatever, u see the kind of language u use? When ghanaians talk back u say they come to insult.
kondi or whatever Ghanas golden generation hasnt passed oo infact a new and better generation is being birthed, at the worldcup our team had one of the youngest teams in terms of age unlike chipolopolo.
Kojo asamoah
Gyan
Muntari
Jordan ayew

Badu
Accam
Solomon Asante

And many others
Are under of age 30
germston south ask kwabena piso how old he is he does nt know how it feels to win afcon I tell u
Chiwezi, do u know how it feels to qualify for the world cup?
@ROK thanks for mentioning me in ur analysis in Zambian football we had midgets like Kenan Simambe who was very lethal in front of goal and could score goals using the head out jumping tall defenders. We also had “The pay master Kellies Mwamba” slim player but very dangerous. When all chips are down he would score an all important goal, thus pay Master. Stone Nyirenda was almost a short player unlike his younger brother Wedson Nyirenda, but was lethal in front of goal. We have had so many short strikers in Zambia but very dangerous in front of goal, it all depends on striker himself and how the technical bench utilises the player. Wayne Rooney is almost short but very deadly in front of goal. In Malawi there is player now plying his trade at Bloenforntein Celtic in SA Gabardinhio Mhango very short player but dangerous, it all depends on the God given skill of the player. On another point, our brother Kay Hammer learn sometimes to be objective, you cannot always be calling a spade a spade and not a big spoon, this song has been there for ages, i think since you decided to join this fora. Dont you think its better you give support to the team once in your life time, why always being negative. Learn from john who have become objective and have decided to give much needed support to the team. This team will suprise a lot of pipo they will do the unexpected at AFCON.
Nchanga rangers. The height factor cannot be ignored at this level.Having Bruce Musakanya ,Sate Sate,Evans kangwa as our main strikers will always disadvantage us when playing against very physical West and North africans.I saw just how the Togolese defender at Zesco shut out Sate sate just by his physical presence. These players are not as skillful with the ball as players like Kenan Simmambe had or Messi EXCEPT maybe for Bruce but the games i have watched him,he is easily shoved off the ball due to his ligh weight. This is the more reason some of us are saying the coach should have drawn a good balance in his selection(I know its not even worth it to dscuss his selection now). However,we hope the element of surprise that comes with football and right tactis will prevail for us otherwise i would advise that we moderate our expectations for this AFCON.
Amazing how people can insist on this height thing when the best player in the world is a midget.
I agree with John on Jacob and Kola those two should definitely have made the cut for Afcon, they are in dazzling form right now. Mtonga showed us that even if plays in India he still has lots of football in him and is the perfect replacement for Nyambe Mulenga if not a better one even. My biggest concern in our team is just our strikers and not because of height but because of goal scoring. We don’t have a consistent goal scorer amongst our strikers.
Janza has chosen well he just messed up with not calling Jacob and or Kola.
Ghana is an embarrassment to African football. Your eternally to Brazil was to support your fellow black stars. Later on you refused to go back to your poor country .You go to the world cup to add a number,We can’t support mediocrity in Africa. FiFA rankings are fake, Ghana does not know how it feels to win a Gold new Afcon cup. You last won afcon when only four(4) nations where competing. Watching Black and White TVs…more than 33 years of drought. Shame on you!
@ POSITIVE THINKING,to begin with, for u to know what the future holds ,indeed u need to know from uor past whether lessons have bn learnt from where u fell,Ghana was grouped in the 2006 WC against 2nd ranked Czech republic, 4th ranked Italy and the USA who were also highly rated but we managed to come out anyways,so same is happening at this yrs AFCON with Algeria and senegal ahead of us in the latest rankings, but we will manage to top the group this time around, and we r not avoiding any team cos for u to win this cup ,u need to beat the best so no shaking at all,if pepo r claiming we wud b skinned alive, thas their poison to gulp down but for us is the usual AFCON where our least has been the semi finals in the last 4 editions or so.

Hear hear hear, very true indeed!!!!
There’s isn’t any bigger embarrassment than just winning 1 cup in your life. count the number of tournaments you’ve entered. Underachievers !
At this juncture, lemme congratulate Positive. Thinking for his realism, indifference, wit, intellect and analytical skills
I’m proud of you Bros.
@ Papa, I conquer with u. I think a flexible player like Felix Katongo (based on how he played in the final against ivory coast) would have added value to the team or even justin zulu to partner with sinkala. I agree our backline is shaky. Sunzu n Mtonga r the only reliable. In this case I would go for a 4.2.3.1 but I would have difficulties with identifying who to partner Sinkala with. Singuluma yes, because he plays with a lot of purpose n we need that upfront to aid our lone striker. Perhaps, Janza should advise Chisamba to be more purposeful in his game as opposed to his entertaining football. Maybe we would push Singuluma further down.
What are all these complaints about on FIFA rankings about? I have never heard any European or American country complain about them. Let’s just play and continue beating the so called better ranked teams. By the way at some time, Zambia, was for a long time ranked the best in Africa by the same FIFA, and I did not hear what I am hearing now. Let’s play.
Bloggers check out this post on Kick off magazine online blog “30 Worst foreign strikers in SA, Serge Djiehoua from Ivory Coast” who was signed by Kaizer Chiefs but went on to be among 30 worst signings in SA. What is interesting is that a Zambian player called Davies Mwape is being mentioned do we know this player? check this out on http//www.kickoff.com/news/51713/worst-foreign-striker-serge-djiehoua
Is it not the same Zambia that celebrated for a whole week as if they just gained independence simply because mayuka has scored a single goal in 3 seasons in England for Southampton against a 2nd division side in a league cup?
How can such a nation qualify for FIFA wc even when they are rewarded free 6 points and 3 goals?
Zambia dares not compare herself to Ghana.
Anyway has Zambia beaten a non-African team before? Never. How many Zambian players are playing in the top leagues of Europe.?
Has any Zambian player even played in the European champions league before, let a lone winning it? Never
Ghana is a true giant of African football, that is why it is a very big news and surprise to the whole world that we have not won the afcon for a long time. And the is why even when Ghana finishes an afcon tournament as runner up, it’s still a failure, not to talk about semi finals which Ghana has reached not less than 15 times,.
By the way Ghana has reached the grand finale of the afcon on 9 occasions.
