Zambian Champions, Power Dynamos will this afternoon take on African Stars of Namibia in the second leg of the first preliminary round of the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League.
Power Dynamos suffered a 2-1 loss away in South Africa and will need to win in the return leg fixture if they are to proceed to the next round.
Head coach Mwenya Chipepo is optimistic about the return match and has assured the fans of a win.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference Chipepo said, the team is ready to take on their opponents citing that their last match gave them an insight into African Stars.
“The boys have worked very hard.We now know our opponent’s weaknesses,we have planned and we Will win,” Chipepo told the ZamFoot Crew.
Similarly, to what Coach Chipepo said ,Captain Godfrey ‘Gofa’ Ngwenya calls tomorrow as the day of joy,stating that the team is looking forward to overturning the results in tomorrow’s game.
“We have looked at our mistakes,and we are not expected to make the same lapses and the coach is not expecting to see the same goals we conceded last week,” he said.
Chipepo went on to encourage the fans to turn out in numbers and cheer on the boys as it will be motivation for them.
Aba Yellow will host African Stars at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola at 15h00 in the second leg of their 2023/24 CAF Champions League first preliminary round.
The winners of this tie are set to play Simba Sports Club of Tanzania in the second round in September 2023.
