Chipata United have finally qualified to the FAZ National Division One League after getting the better of Livingstone Pirates.
Chipata beat Livingstone Pirates in a play-off 5-4 on post match penalties to sneak into the FAZ National Division One.
The two faced off for a slot left vacant by Buildcon after they were suspended by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) following multiple FIFA and FAZ statute breaches.
Chipata United finished with eight points and narrowly missed out on promotion while Livingstone Pirates were the highest ranked team among those relegated to Provincial League football.
Gift Kayombo opened the scoring putting Livingstone Pirates in the lead in the 31st minute.
Isaac ‘Neymar’ Banda pulled Chipata United level in the second stanza to send the match to penalties.
The match ended 1-1 in regulation time.
