Chintu still hopeful of Napsa Stars survival

NAPSA Stars interim head coach Chintu Kampamba is still hopeful of surviving relegation with two games left to play till the end of the season.

Kampamba was speaking on Sunday shortly after they watching his side lose 2-0 at the hands of ZESCO United on Sunday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

“Of course we all wanted a win, you could even see it from the display of the players but we could not get a win and the worst result we could have gotten was a draw, We have to go back and work on finishing, we created a lot of chances that we could have converted. ZESCO did not have many chances but they were clinical,” he said.

“There is still hope, we still have two games to play and the teams above us are not far, We just need to reduce the goal deficit, keep clean sheets, and score as many goals as we can, the team can create a lot of chances which is the most important thing, we just need to be clinical. Looking at how the team played if we continue playing like that in the coming game we will record positive results,” he added.

Jesse Jackson Were and Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba scored a goal each secure ZESCO United’s 2-0 win hand NAPSA Stars their sixth straight loss and 14th of the season.

The Pensioners are currently 16th on the log with 36 points after 32 matches with two games to go. Next up for NAPSA is Nkwazi before a relegation fierce encounter against defending Champions, Nkana at Woodlands Stadium.

  1. Chintu is one of the worst coaches in our country today. He religates every team given to him. He’s only good at being an assistant
