The Edward Chilufya Christmas tournament came to an exciting end on Friday, December 25th after over a month of exhibition football in Kasama.
Chintelelwe Football club was crowned as Champions after coming from behind to beat Mungwi Hotspurs by 3-1 in a fantastic final played at Kasama Sports Stadium.
Edward Chilufya who plays for a Swedish side Djurgardens IF pumped in a total sum of k15 000 to sponsor the tournament for teams based in Kasama. Chilufya was among the spectators who watched the final and later thanked the teams that took part in the tournament.
And Football Association of Zambia Northern Province Chairperson Mwansa Kapyanga who was also in attendance at the Kasama Sports Stadium thanked Chilufya for sponsoring the tournament. Kapyanga also encouraged the players to work hard and emulate Chilufya.
