Trident Football Club have announced the return of left-back John Chilangwa, who has joined the club on loan from Mufulira Wanderers until the end of the transitional league.
“Welcome back, John Chilangwa,” Trident said in announcing the defender’s return.
Chilangwa previously featured for Trident during the club’s formative years between 2016 and 2019, when the team was competing in the Provincial League.
The left-back later continued his career with Jumulo FC before joining Mufulira Wanderers, where he has gained further experience.
His return sees him reunite with Trident for the transitional league, providing the club with a player already familiar with its environment and early history.
Trident said Chilangwa’s return represents a homecoming for a player who was part of the club during its formative years.
The loan agreement will run until the end of the transitional league.
