Former Zambia U-17 national team left-back cum winger Peter Chikola is set to spend a month attached at a Croatian club, The ZamFoot Crew understands.
The ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal that Chikola will spend next month training with Croatian top league side, Hrvatski nogometni Klub Gorica commonly referred to as HNK Gorica.
Chikola will leave for Velika Gorica on the 10th of July, 2022 for his one-month training attachment. The youngster will miss the COSAFA Cup despite being in Aljosa Asanovic’s plans.
In February Chikola was in Austria for trials at Austrian Bundesliga outfit, SK Sturm Graz.
At Celtic, Chikola was an important player despite the team failing to secure their stay in the Super League.
In the 2020/2021 season, Chikola had an impressive season helping the team to win promotion with 9 goals and eight assists to his name.
During the 2019 COSAFA U17 Championships, Chikola produced a moment of magic scoring directly from a corner kick to hand junior Chipolopolo a 3-2 win over hosts Malawi in their final group game which Zambia went on to win.
Meanwhile, Albert Kangwanda is also expected to attend trials at a named European club late in July.
