Chembo is the new tenant at Shinde… Billy Mutale and Richard Kasonde training with Mufulira Wanderers

Former Zesco United assistant coach Tennant Chembo has been appointed as the new Mighty Mufulira Wanderers head coach, the ZamFoot Crew understands.

Chembo who was last active as a specialist consultant for relegation-threatened KYSA earlier this season comes in after the unsuccessful appointment of Justin Chinama who was recalled by the Zambia Army command and sent to lower-tier outfit Chindwin Centries.

Chembo who is expected to be unveiled this week will be tasked with helping Mighty Mufulira Wanderers survive relegation.

Meanwhile, Former Power Dynamos defender Billy Mutale and midfielder Richard Kasonde are currently training with the legendary cup fighters.

Mutale left South Africa PSL side Supersport United after they did not renew his contract last month while Kasonde has been without a club since being released by Zanaco mid last year.

Mufulira Wanderers are currently bottom on the MTN/FAZ Super League table with just eight points accumulated from 18 matches played so far.

  1. At least we are finally making progress ba Executive. The challenge is now to keep Tenant for a while so that he can effectively infuse his philosophy on the team. DO NOT INTERFERE WITH TEAM SELECTION IWE CHAIRMAN ! we dont want a repeat of the past. Provide resources to get at least an accomplished striker and a playmaker. Lets not have a repeat of what happened to a good coach like Chabinga whom you frustrated. Ba mIghty executive – actually how you have survived and still remained in office is a mystery to me. Should have been kicked out a long time ago !
