1988 Seoul Olympics.. I returned to Belgium after we were eliminated in the quarterfinals by ruthless Germany 🇩🇪 🤤
Former Dutch international player coaching a Germany side Stuttgart, Arie Haan who played for Anderlecht and coached them in 1986-1987 soccer season came to visit.. He was met by his colleague Martin Lippens technical coach great great man and my mentor RIP ❤️🙏🏾
Arie Haan promised to send me the Germany attire, he said he had two players from his Stuttgart squad who were present in Seoul, one being Jurgen Klismann.. He jokingly said I work in Germany as a coach but I despise them.. He was in the Dutch team that lost the World Cup final in 1974 against Germany.. He said Charly we won the World Cup final but the Germans took the cup.. hilarious jokes 🤣
One morning when I went for practice I found a parcel in my locker room.. it was a parcel from Stuttgart with a message on it.. Germany 4 Zambia 0 🤔
Ideally I wanted to keep the tracksuit for my friend in Zambia but I decided to wear it.. When I entered the dressing room players started giggling and teasing me except for one.. Dutch international player Adri van Tiggelen, he immediately started lamenting cursing in Dutch language, I was smiling as always looking flesh in Germany colours like nothing matters..
I asked about what Adri was saying.. Our captain Grun said don’t mind him.. Dutch people hate the Germans Charly that tracksuit looks good on you lol 🤔
That’s my first car which Zambians called Mukango referring to it as a fast car.. They even called one Zambian international player Mukango.. if you know what I mean. Stone Nyerenda was lightening quick 😳
The car was later stolen, when I was with my wife Angie.. One morning we came out of the apartment and found the car gone missing from the parking lot.. Shocking.. Insurance did the rest Unimaginable 😳😳
