Champions Red Arrows have been busy in the transfer market trying to reinforce their squad ahead of their title defence.
The Zambia Air Force, ZAF sponsored side have made their mark in the window by securing highly rated duo of Albert Kangwanda and Thomas ‘Yaya’ Zulu on loan from demoted side Kafue Celtic.
“It’s coup for Arrows. The two boys were wanted by Eagles, Zanaco, Zesco and Power,” a ZamFoot Crew source said.
Kangwanda impressed last season with 12 goals for Celtic.
He is expected to form a lethal partnership with Joseph Phiri and top scorer Ricky Banda next season as the airmen try to stamp their authority in Africa in the CAF Champions League.
Zulu, a former Zambia Under-20 international was a workaholic in the engine room for Celtic.
He can either be deployed as either holding or a box to box midfielder.
He will complement George Simbayambaya, Saddam Yusuf Phiri, Edward Tembo and George Mandu in midfield.
Arrows are set to start pre-season on June 30 ahead of the new campaign.
This week the players were undergoing their medical checkups.
