Zambia Super League side, Chambishi Football club have sent their head coach Kaunda Simonda on 30 days administrative leave with immediate effect.
Chambishi Media Director, Chali Gadge Katongo confirmed the development in a press statement made available to the ZamFoot Crew.
First Assistant coach Lewington Mujembe has taken charge of the team as interim head coach.
“Chambishi football club head coach Mr. Kaunda Simonda has been sent on 30 days administrative leave with immediate effect.
First Assistant coach Mr. Lewington Mujembe has taken charge of the team as interim head coach
with immediate effect.”
This comes barely hours after the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) announced that the club had been fined K50, 000, and the club has also received a five-match ban of spectators at Chambishi stadium for the next five Super League home matches for the club.
Chambishi are currently second from bottom with four points from nine games played so far with only one win to their name.
