Clatous Chota Chama continued his sensational run of form after scoring in a fifth consecutive match to help Simba SC cruise to a 4-0 victory over TRA United and book their place in the CRDB Bank Federation Cup semi-finals.
The Chipolopolo midfielder, popularly known as Triple C, needed just six minutes to make his mark on the contest. Chama capitalised on a swift attacking move that caught the TRA United defence off guard before calmly slotting home to hand Simba an early lead.
Simba remained firmly in control throughout the opening half and doubled their advantage before the break through forward Anicet Oura, whose composed finish capped another well-worked attacking move to give the hosts a commanding 2-0 lead at half-time.
Substitute Seleman Mwalimu added a third goal in the 64th minute with a close-range finish before Bashiri Kibaila completed the rout 12 minutes from time.
The victory sends Simba into the semi-finals, where they will face Coastal Union FC. The Tanga-based side secured their place in the last four after edging Singida Black Stars 4-2 on penalties following a goalless draw at Mkwakwani Stadium.
Chama’s latest goal underlines his remarkable form for Simba. The Zambian international has now registered goal contributions in seven consecutive matches, producing seven goals and three assists during that impressive spell.
