“Thank you for banking with us” must be the words on Zanaco fans’ lips right now as the Bankers nicked a late victory over Cotton Sport in Cameroun.
Zambian League Champions this afternoon ran out 1-0 winners against Cotton Sport in their 4th group stage encounter to go top of the lot and further improve their chances at qualification from the Group Stages.
The bankers left it very late in Garoua, Cameroun and only took the winning goal in injury time thanks to one Saith Sakala to seal the win and the vital away 3 points.
To firmly win the group the Zambian Champions will now only need 3 points in either their home game against Al Ahly on the 1st of July 2017 or their trip to WAC Cassablanca on th 7th of the same month. Zanaco can however still win the group with draws in both games.
