COSAFA champions Green Buffaloes have arrived in Morocco for the second edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League, scheduled to take place from 30 October to 13 November 2022.
Buffaloes, who will be taking part in their debut continental competition, arrived at 13h45 local time at the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca after a 16 hour flight.
The Zambian Champions were received by second secretary finance at the embassy of Zambia in Morocco, Kelvin Malisase.
Charles Haalubono has named a 23 member traveling squad with Copper Queens heptad of Martha Tembo, Lushomo Mweemba, Agness Musesa, Natasha Nanyangwe, Maweta Chilenga, Esther Siamfuko and Ireen Lungu leading the team.
Buffaloes are in Group A alongside hosts ASFAR, Simba Queens SC (Tanzania) and Determine Girls (Liberia), with their opening fixture against Determine Girls set for 30th October at Moulay Hassan stadium in Rabat.
The CAF Women’s Champions League kicks off on 30 October 2022 with the final scheduled for 13 November 2022.
