CAF U20 AFCON: What has been you best moment?

The CAF 2017 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations will come to conclusion this Sunday with hosts Zambia taking on Senegal in the final at Lusaka ‘s Heroes Stadium while South Africa and Guinea will square off in a 3rd/4th play off at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

The four countries will represent Africa at the FIFA 2017 Under-20 World Cup in South Korea.

On the pitch, the fans have been spoiled with goals.

Junior Chipolopolo come from behind victories over Mali and Egypt are some of the highlights. Senegal came from 2-0 down in the first half to beat South Africa 4-3.

Off the pitch, from the ‘Bola na Lesa’ T-shirts to the ‘Fashion Sakala’ banners.

What about the tear gas scene at Heroes Stadium which saw play stopped for 6 minutes.

But if there’s one moment which has stood up.

Zambia and South African teenagers exhibited ‘Ubuntu’ and this drew comments even from public figures

“We are Africans in Unity .A symbol of true sportsmanship and Ubuntu as South Africa and Zambia unite for a Prayer after yesterday’s game,” wrote South African Sports Minister Mbalula on twitter

De thrilling Goals galo n all de exciting moments wher best but no moment could beat dis sportsmanship wch wz exhibited by our opponents south africa, I think for me dat wz da best moment eva, we need 2 cheer 4 south africa on saturday @ da levy mwanawasa stadium jx 2 offer solidarity 2 their team so dat dey could fight 2 win third position n give them a boost 4 da world cup preparations

  2. good suggestion. From humble. Yes we should give support to south africa. How i wished south africa had been senegal to avoid meeting zambia in the semi final. The final would have been southern africa dama

  4. i hope the Ndola fans fill up the stadium for the 3rd and 4th spot game as the Lusaka game is already sold out. Go Zambia!
