Zambia’s remaining representative in continental football, Zanaco will leave for Tunisia on Wednesday as they start their CAF confederation Cup group stage adventure.
The Bankers are in a tricky Group alongside Tunisian side CS Sfaxien, Egyptian side Pyramids FC and Ahly Tripoli of Libya.
Kelvin Kaindu’s men start with an away trip to Tunisia ahead of Sunday’s clash before hosting Pyramids a week later and then making a trip to Libya on 27th February.

New acquisition Mwila Phiri is nursing an injury hence will miss the trip together with Ackim Mumba who has been in the treatment room since last month after suffering a clavicular hairline fracture.

Winger Felix Bulaya and striker Tshite Mweshi are also expected to miss the trip to Tunis.
The Bankers will square off with Sfaxien on Sunday, February 13th at the Stade Olympique De R Tunis.
Zanaco is no stranger to North African jobs having held Al Ahly to a goalless at the Cairo Stadium in 2017 in the CAF Champions League and then beat Pyramids in this competition at their backyard in 2020.
