The CAF Confederations Cup group stage start on Sunday and there’s a lot of Zambian interest in the competition.
Five Zambian abroad players are expected to take part in Sunday’s group matches for their respective clubs.
Zambia top side Zanaco will also be in action at 9pm away in Tunisia against CS Sfaxien side away at the Stade Olympique De R Tunis.
TP Mazembe v Otôho d’Oyo – The Battle of Congo river
DR Congo’s TP Mazembe host Otôho d’Oyo of Congo Brazaville in the battle of the Congo river in a Group C fixture in Lubumbashi at 3pm.
Zambian trio Rainford Kalaba, Kabaso Chongo and Tandi Mwape will be hoping to start for TP Mazembe.

TP Mazembe [P17, 45 points] are top of the domestic league while Otôho d’Oyo [P11, 27 points] are second on the log.
In the other group tie, Egyptian side Al Masry will host Coton Sport of Cameroon at 6pm.

Simba SC v Asec Mimosas – The return of Mwamba Wa Lusaka
Clatous Chama’s return from Morocco to Tanzania headline this fixture in Dar el Salaam.
Despite spending big, Simba have underachieved on the continent.
The Tanzanian giants are boasting of Rally Bwalya, Bernard Morrison, Chris Mugalu in addition to Chama in their ranks. Chama will however not be part of today’s game.
This array of attacking stars should be a threat to any defense. Bwalya who is fondly called ‘Soft touch’ is expected to pull the strings in midfield
On Sunday at 3pm at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Ivory Coast glamour side Asec Mimosas stands their way.
In the other Group D fixture, Chama’s former team RS Berkane will host Niger side Union Sportive Gendarmerie Nationale.
